Beast of Reincarnation Builds Hub

Stats, skill trees, Spirit Stones, and playstyle routes for Emma and Koo in single-player progression.

Last updated:

Beast of Reincarnation is a single-player action RPG from Game Freak where progression splits between Emma’s real-time katana combat and Koo’s Bloom Arts command skills. Builds are not a single talent tree — you invest in three core attributes, spend shared Skill Points across two skill trees, socket Spirit Stones into armor, and choose a combat rhythm that matches your platform controls. This Builds Hub links every progression guide so you can plan before spending irreversible SP on Normal or Hard.

The game launched August 4, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass with Story, Normal, and Hard difficulty modes. Difficulty adjusts incoming damage; your build choices carry across modes when you swap down for learning or up for challenge.

Attributes gate skill nodes — you cannot rush late Bloom Arts without meeting Florescence thresholds. Spirit Stones swap freely outside combat, so they are the flexible layer when a boss demands more parry FP or faster Down Gauge pressure.

Core combat loop for any build

Every viable build interacts with the same systems documented in Controls Hub:

  1. Just Guard on L1 / LB / your PC block key generates FP.
  2. Koo Bloom Arts spend FP through the Triangle / Y command menu.
  3. Down Gauge breaks enable Emma’s R1 finishers.
  4. Square Blade Arts deliver Nushi-powered burst during stagger windows.

Build planning decides how heavily you lean on each step. Parry-focused routes widen Just Guard windows and FP refunds. Ranged routes use Spirit Stones for head-tracking shots and stealth bonuses. Aggressive routes stack Strength and Blade Arts nodes to burn Down Gauges faster at the cost of Vitality.

Emma and Koo as dual investment

Emma and Koo share one SP pool. Over-investing in Emma’s katana branches leaves Koo’s Bloom Arts underpowered for boss phases that demand crowd control or elemental breaks. Preview coverage and combat overview trailers show Koo’s heaviest Arts gated behind Nushi victories — plan boss order before committing SP.

Koo also has separate attribute investment for his own growth stats at camp checkpoints. Pair Emma’s Florescence with Koo support nodes when running Hard mode where FP starvation punishes greedy Strength stacking.

Gear slots that shape builds

Beyond attributes and trees, equipment defines practical builds:

  • Katana — base melee scaling with Strength.
  • Ranged weapon and ammo — enables bow or crossbow playstyles.
  • Armor — determines Spirit Stone slot count; early Light Gambeson offers fewer sockets than late-game sets.
  • Spirit Stones — up to six passive effects depending on armor tier.

Food buffs from camp cooking add temporary Attack, Defense, and HP layers. Hunger management means Vitality-focused builds still need meal prep — not pure stat dumping.

New players should read stats first to understand Strength, Vitality, and Florescence, then skill trees for Emma and Koo node priorities. Socket planning on spirit stones comes third once you know armor slot counts. Finally, pick a route on playstyles and align controls bindings with that route — ranged players need comfortable aim keys on PC; parry builds need reliable L1 or LB access.

Respec and difficulty notes

Official preview material emphasized difficulty can change at camp with possible reward rate differences on Hard. Attribute respec details were not fully documented pre-launch — treat SP as permanent until you confirm respec items in-game. Spirit Stones remain the low-risk customization knob because they swap between encounters.

Boss and Nushi synergy

Defeating Nushi grants Emma new Blade Arts tied to Square inputs and unlocks Koo Bloom Arts nodes in his tree. Build guides that ignore boss order often stall — check skill trees for Nushi-gated nodes before grinding optional content.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What are the three main stats in Beast of Reincarnation?

Strength raises Attack and Defense, Vitality raises HP, and Florescence raises Skill Power. All three gate skill tree nodes — see [stats](/builds/stats/) for breakpoints.

Do Emma and Koo share Skill Points?

Yes. SP is one pool split across both skill trees. Heavy Emma investment reduces Koo Bloom Arts potential — details in [skill trees](/builds/skill-trees/).

How many Spirit Stones can I equip?

Slot count depends on armor. Early gear offers fewer sockets; late armor reaches six stones. Full list on [spirit stones](/builds/spirit-stones/).

Which build is best for beginners?

Balanced Strength and Vitality with moderate Florescence supports Just Guard learning. Read [playstyles](/builds/playstyles/) and pair with [PS5 controls](/controls/ps5/) or [PC controls](/controls/pc/) practice in Story mode.
